You may be aware of the coronavirus that originated in China. There is one confirmed case in the Chicago area but not within the entire NorthShore system. However, we continue to closely monitor this situation. We want to provide you with the following information to ensure everyone’s health and safety.

If you have traveled to or from China within the last 14 days and have any of the following symptoms—fever, cough or difficulty breathing, then please go to the nearest Emergency Department instead of scheduling an appointment with your doctor. Upon entering the Emergency Department, we ask that you immediately put on a mask and notify our front desk staff of your travel history and symptoms.
